You’d expect complete transparency from fragrance products you use in your own home, but, unfortunately, the home fragrance industry is clogged with brands that fail to disclose potentially harmful ingredients. While there is no requirement to reveal the ingredients in our signature fragrances, our intention at Aera is to provide you with helpful information and greater control of your home environment. You should feel comfortable knowing everything that’s in the air surrounding you and your family.
We’re proud to be able to share our complete ingredients list with you.
You may notice that Aera fragrances use some “safe synthetics” in place of botanicals. These ingredients are used when our perfumers feel a synthetic alternative is better for you – or for the environment. Safe synthetics are less likely to trigger allergic reactions or cause irritation due to their simplified molecular structure. Additionally, “safe synthetics” are often more sustainably sourced than their natural counterparts. For example, natural musk requires a lethal extraction process from a musk deer, while natural sandalwood harvesting has nearly driven that tree to extinction. In many other cases like these, our perfumers choose the more sustainable ingredient option.
Our ingredients lists do not provide a detailed description of how certain fragrances will smell. However, we have included notes on the purpose and origin of each specific component to better identify longer, less recognizable names.
We hope you appreciate our transparency and look forward to your input as we strive to create the most amazing, safe, and sustainable fragrances possible. If you have questions or comments, feel free to contact us at 1-(844)-LUV-AERA (588-2372) or by email at support@aeraforhome.com.
